Coming off his second start in the Edmonton Eskimos secondary, Chris Rwabukamba is preparing to face his former team for the second time when the Hamilton Tiger-Cats visit Commonwealth Stadium on Friday.

But more importantly, the Eskimos cornerback is hoping to help his new team to just their second win of the season.

He came close last week, getting edged by the Montreal Alouettes while filling in for Joe Burnett, who sat out with a hamstring injury that will keep him sidelined until after the bye week.

Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, considering the success Rwabukamba had the first time out against the Ticats, where he recovered a fumbled punt return by Ticats’ Lindsey Lamar, before intercepting Henry Burris late to quell any chance at a comeback.

While the effort led to Edmonton’s first and only win of 2013, so far, they couldn’t repeat the feat in Rwabukamba’s second start last week.
