EDMONTON - It was a different setting but the same result in the end for the Edmonton Eskimos ongoing quarterback competition Saturday.

Loyal supporters piled into Clarke Park for Nissan Fan Day to take in the annual Green and Gold scrimmage, which offered the most game-like atmosphere of training camp so far.

As scored by local media, Mike Reilly — whose day it was to be up first given he’s been alternating with Matt Nichols — completed four of eight pass attempts with an interception and an 11-yard rushing touchdown.

The first pass of his second series was picked off by linebacker Donovan Richard, before completing his next one to Dobson Collins for a 30-yard toss and run to set up Reilly’s scamper into the end zone.

Though it didn’t help hitting wide-out Ed Gant in the hands on the fly 40 yards downfield that fell harmlessly to the turf in the next series.
