EDMONTON - Ed Hervey wanted to get himself an Eskimo.

As there were no actual Inuits available ...

"You want good football players but what you also want at the same time are guys who can be ambassadors in the community, guys who can participate in some of the activities of the community -- like freezing."

Hervey, with the temperature hitting -40 C with the wind chill factor this week, found his man.

And new quarterback Mike Reilly is headed here next week with every intention of finding a place to live, coming in every day with the coaches, training with as many new teammates he can round up in the Commonwealth Stadium fieldhouse he's envied for the last three years as Travis Lulay's backup quarterback with the B.C. Lions and becoming a year-round resident.

"When you live in Kallispell, Mont., it's a different part of the world that a lot of people aren't used to," said Reilly.
