EDMONTON - The new receivers on the Edmonton Eskimos might have to wait a while for their first report card.

Prechae Rodriguez, Dobson Collins and Ryan Grice-Mullen made their 2011 debuts at Commonwealth Stadium in Friday's 36-1 loss.

"I don't know if we had an opportunity to really see our receiving corps," head coach Kavis Reed said. "Our quarterback was under pressure the entire night, regardless of how many they rushed. So I don't know how we can evaluate those guys fairly based on how our protection was."

It got to the point where Ray was pulled from the line of fire for backup Kerry Joseph in the third quarter.

"There was absolutely zero quarterback controversy there," Reed said. "It was 27-1 and as a coach you know when the game is over.

"I did not feel that we were going to be able to come back in this football game and I was not going to allow our franchise players to get hurt under these circumstances."
