Esks take aim at Amos

The Edmonton Eskimos re-signed Willie Amos despite the fact the defensive back didn't play a single game for the Green and Gold during the 2009 regular season.

After coming to the Eskimos in a trade with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for offensive lineman Thaddeus Coleman on June 14, 2009, Amos only played in both preseason games before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury on June 23.

But his short time in uniform was enough for the import out of the University of Nebraska to catch the eye of coaches.

In his rookie CFL campaign in 2008, Amos led the Bombers with seven pass knockdowns and had 52 defensive tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception in 11 regular-season games.

Can Ricky Ray solve the Toronto Argonauts' quarterback woes in 2012?
