Needing an improved performance from the defensive line this week, the Eskimos are dealing with good news and potentially concerning news regarding the roster.
Defensive tackle Dario Romero - the unquestioned leader of the front four - seems ready to return to the field for Saturday's game after missing last week's game with a leg injury.
But defensive end Fred Perry wasn't at yesterday's practice for health reasons.
"He is feeling under the weather and I don't want that stuff to spread through the locker-room," said Edmonton head coach Danny Maciocia on Perry.
Assuming Perry's illness hasn't spread to any other D-line teammates and he plays Saturday in Regina - which Maciocia expects - the Esks will have their most veteran front four on the field since Week 4.
That was the last time Perry and Romero played together.
Perry broke his leg in that game in Toronto and didn't return until last week.
Between Romero and Perry, they have 12 years of CFL experience.
