Never under-estimate the connections of the Edmonton Eskimos in the community.

That has become crystal clear - again - after Bob MacLean helped fly Jason Tucker home from Hamilton this week.

MacLean - the Esks past-president - made a private aircraft available for Tucker to fly to Edmonton on Wednesday after being released from a Hamilton hospital.

The plane flew to Hamilton late Tuesday night and then transported Tucker home.

A registered pilot, MacLean actually flew the aircraft for part of the journey.

"It just shows what a family the Eskimos are when you have a passport member just offer - no questions asked," said Eskimo president and CEO Rick LeLacheur.
