Greg Wojt is off limits -- for right now.

The Edmonton Eskimos selected the right tackle with their first pick (11th overall) in yesterday's CFL Canadian draft but can't talk to the promising lineman.

With Wojt listed as a junior at Central Michigan University, he has another year of eligibility.

So, the Esks can't have any contact with the six-foot-four Ontario native until he is finished playing college ball.

Writing a final exam yesterday, Wojt was also off limits to media reporters.

Even more interesting, the Esks could lose the 285-pounder if he's taken by an NFL team next year.

"He is going to be special in this league," said Edmonton head coach Danny Maciocia.

"He can slide inside, he can play both tackle positions."

The rest of Edmonton's non-import selections in the 2008 draft:

Tim St. Pierre, LB, Saint Mary's (19th overall):

Could make an immediate impact on special teams. The New York Jets were interested in him as a long-snapping prospect. So were the St. Louis Rams.

Considered to be small (six feet, 235 pounds) by NFL standards, his snap times are quick enough.

- Justin Cooper, DL, Manitoba (23rd overall)

A Red Deer native and former Edmonton Huskie, Cooper could be the special teams headhunter the Esks want. At 25, Cooper is at a crossroads.

"I train like it's my last shot," said Cooper.

This will be his third camp after being a junior at two Stampeder camps ('03, '04).

"In 2004 he played in an exhibition game against the Edmonton Eskimos. So, I went and watched that game and he is lighting up Steven Marsh," said Maciocia. "He tackled Ezra Landry on a kickoff return. And I think he had a quarterback sack in that game."

- Sammy Okpro, DB, Concordia (25th overall):

"A well rounded football player," Maciocia stated. "He can play outside linebacker, free safety."

- Jonathan Hood, DB, St. FX (26th overall):

"We think he can be a guy along the lines of Yannick Carter, who is in Saskatchewan," said Maciocia.

- Dante Luciani, WR, Wilfrid Laurier (34th overall):

Luciani was the second-highest rated receiver on the Esks' draft board.
