The Edmonton Eskimos are officially in the hunt for Jojuan Armour - but so are two other clubs. As of late last night, the import linebacker had heard from Montreal, Winnipeg and Edmonton.

"I'm going to think about things over the weekend," said Armour, just 20 minutes after he hit the open market.

Before the CFL free-agent derby started at 10:01 p.m. last night, Armour hoped he would be able to land a new contract - or at least get a sense for dollar figures - within minutes after his contract with Hamilton expired.

But so far, he hasn't had a verbal offer. Instead, it has just been dialogue. Part of the reason might have to do with Reggie Hunt, who is also on the market and plays the exact same position as Armour.

Both are coveted by CFL clubs and the first player who signs a new deal will set the market value for the other.

Armour is hoping for a salary near $130,000.

If Saskatchewan isn't able to retain Hunt, Armour could find another suitor in Riders general manager Eric Tillman.
