In the midst of fans asking for Danny Maciocia to be fired, veteran Edmonton Eskimos are standing right beside their head coach.
"It is crazy," said receiver Jason Tucker on the calls for Maciocia to be canned.
"Everybody has their opinion.
"Danny is a good coach.
"They wanted Danny's head. They wanted Rick Campbell's head on the radio (after the Labour Day loss).
"That is why they are on the outside.
"They are not inside (the locker-room).
"They don't know what is going on. All they see is what is happening on game day.
"They don't know the full story."
The phone lines lit up on 630 CHED late into Monday night after the Esks lost 35-24 to the Calgary Stampeders in the Labour Day battle to drop to last in the West Division at 3-5-1.
Edmonton has now lost four of its last five games, giving fans plenty of ammunition against Maciocia.
