Adam Braidwood is part of the Edmonton Eskimos' slick marketing campaign this season - but his puppy stole part of the show at medical day.

Vengeance - an eight-week-old dog - scampered into the large room full of Eskimos being tested yesterday morning.

Equipment manager Dwayne Mandrusiak instantly played with him, actually taking care of him while Braidwood finished some of his testing.

"He's a great dog," said Braidwood, acting like a proud papa.

"He's almost house trained."

A type of Spanish mastiff, the playful puppy could grow to 150 pounds.

Regardless, his name will be tough to forget.

"I wanted an original name," said Braidwood.

Watch for him to appear at training camp at Clarke Park.
