Warren Kean's problem is Kody Bliss's opportunity.

The Edmonton Eskimos are suddenly bringing Bliss - a strong punter/kicker - into camp because Kean is injured.

The Green and Gold's first-round pick in the CFL draft, Kean will be on the shelf for all of camp with a quad injury.

"He is doing a lot of physio work right now and we are just going to be smart about it because those are the type of injuries for kickers that if it becomes a nagging one then we are going to throw the season away," said Eskimos head coach Danny Maciocia.

Sean Fleming remains the overwhelming favourite to break camp as the starting punter and kicker, especially because Bliss is an import.

However, Bliss comes with an interesting resume. Considered by some to be the second best punting prospect in the recent NFL draft, the 22-year-old had a 46.1-yard average last season at Auburn. He had punts of more than 60 yards in all four college seasons.

Bliss is expected next week. Kean suffered his setback working out to come to camp.
