Lightning quick import receivers are a dime a dozen in the CFL.
That means it shouldn't take long for the Edmonton Eskimos to replace Ed Hervey's speed and hands on the field.
With Fred Stamps quietly on their roster, the Esks might already have that player.
But replacing Hervey's leadership skills in the locker room will be an issue.
"I think it is going to hurt us big time on offence from a leadership standpoint," said kicker Sean Fleming, who watched Hervey retire in the Eskimo locker room yesterday.
"Ed's best games were always in the playoffs. When we needed some big games, Ed was always the guy that showed up."
Star receiver Jason Tucker didn't make it to the retirement announcement, but from his Texas home he knows Hervey will be missed.
"He would stand up in front of the whole team," said Tucker.
"It will be a different (locker-room)."
