Danny Maciocia is caught between a rock and a hard place for Sunday's Canadian junior football semifinal game.

On one side of the field will be his beloved St. Leonard Cougars - the team he once coached in Quebec.

On the other side of Clarke Stadium will be the hometown Edmonton Wildcats under the coaching direction of colleague Gary Durchik.

MacKenzie Mandrusiak - the Esks' equipment assistant - also plays for the Cats.

"I am not making a prediction (on the outcome)," Maciocia wisely stated.

"What I am going to predict is that it's going to be a good football game."

Maciocia has actually been in a tough spot already this week, as both coaching staffs called him looking for inside information. He should know. Maciocia spent last Saturday in the Montreal crowd at the Cougar game and then was in the stands for the PFC final the next day in Edmonton.

"I found it funny that I got two phone calls in the span of five or 10 minutes (earlier this week)," admitted Maciocia.
