On the eight-yard line with less than a minute to go, Ricky Ray drops to pass to the far side of the field, but is forced to scramble in the other direction and finds the end zone to give Edmonton a season-saving touchdown.

NOTES

Edmonton's offence answered the bell in very fine style last night, not allowing a sack on Ricky Ray and shutting down Saskatchewan's feared front four ... Saskatchewan offensive lineman Rob Lazeo's one-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter last night was the first reception of his nine-year CFL career. But according to former Rider coach Cal Murphy - who was in the press box last night - it actually marked his second professional touchdown. Lazeo apparently caught a three-yard pass from Kurt Warner in the Arena League several years ago ... Former Eskimo defensive end Tim Fleiszer dressed for his first game as a Rider last night, but had little impact ... With 14 completions midway through the fourth quarter, Ricky Ray became the Eskimos' all-time leader in that category, passing Tom Wilkinson.
