'Sticking together'

Donald Brady noticed the mood on his first day back in the Eskimo locker-room.

And it can be felt by nearly anyone strolling through.

Although the Green and Gold are 3-6 and stuck in the West Division basement, nobody is hanging their head, griping or walking around in a sullen daze.

"The thing that I noticed when I walked in here," explained Brady, "is everybody is still enjoying themselves and the game. And that is the main thing.

"I thought guys would be down and dejected."

Brady says the team is still infused with the notion they are going to be in the playoffs.

On the offensive side of the room there continues to be a positive outlook.

"You can still see the young guys interacting with the older guys and vice versa - and that, right there, is key," said receiver Ed Hervey.

"You can tell a locker-room is separated when guys aren't talking - it's as simple as that.

"Guys are still sticking together (here). That has been the key to our success over the years and that is going to be the key to our success in the second half."
