The Edmonton Eskimos are not interested in pursuing former all-star outside linebacker George White.
After leading the entire league in tackles last year, White was cut by the Calgary Stampeders on Tuesday after apparently losing a step because of off-season surgery for an Achilles tendon injury.
However, the 28-year-old import still played the majority of the Stamps' games this year.
"He'll get picked up someplace," admitted Eskimo head coach Danny Maciocia yesterday - but the Green and Gold won't be the club.
"We've got Singor Mobley and Marcus Winn (at outside linebacker) and they've played pretty good."
There is already speculation that White will resurface with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the team that brought him into the league from Boston College in 2000.
