Hits and misses

THE HITS

JONTE BUHL (DB): Turned in a textbook pass break-up when he showed a burst of speed to step in front of a pass intended for J.F. Romeo.

D'ANTHONY BATISTE (OL): He's fighting for a back-up job on the o-line and didn't hurt his cause with a pancake block on Charles Alston.

THE MISSES

ED HERVEY (WR): Made the catch of the day down the sideline, but it was "called back" by the defence for a pushoff on Keyuo Craver.

JONTE BUHL: ... But later on, he got all turned around on a toss to Nicolas Bisaillon. Good thing the throw from Khari Jones slipped through the receiver's hands.

ESKS-CETERA

OL Patrick Kabongo is not 100% as he was labouring from time to time during drills, but he's still expected to go tomorrow ... Pass of the day went to Jason Johnson, who hooked up on a long route with Dahrran Deidrick. The long bomb was right on the money ... Sean Fleming and Rodney Williams shared the punting responsibilities. Both were delivering some long, high kicks.

HURT PARADE

No new injuries of note, but WR Pat Woodcock was more active in drills. Jason Nugent, Randy Spencer, William Loftus, Steven Marsh, Marcus Winn and Andre Sommersell all sat out.

AT CLARKE PARK TODAY: Walk through for tomorrow's home pre-season game against Saskatchewan.
