Calgary continued its impressive run by beating the Eskimos 43-23 at McMahon Stadium a week ago to secure home-field advantage in the West semifinal. The Stamps have won seven of their last eight games, while the Eskimos had a three-game win streak snapped by Calgary.

HEAD TO HEAD:

Calgary took the season series 2-1. Since 1970, the Stamps have a 5-8 playoff record against Edmonton, although Calgary has won the last three games. The Esks lead the all-time regular-season series 115-69-4.

ROSTER MOVES:

* CALGARY -- Backup RB David Allen took off for the NFL so RB Tony Stallings comes off the practice roster. Stallings will be inserted into the backfield to help keep the Eskimos on their toes.

* EDMONTON -- To give them depth because of an ailing Shannon Garrett, DB Gerald Dixon takes the import spot of DL Cedric Scott. To replace Scott, Canadian Randy Spencer will play and take the spot of WR Rob Leblanc.

WHO'S HOT:

* CALGARY -- QB Henry Burris went 14-of-24 passing for 311 yards and three TD passes last week in the regular-season finale.

* EDMONTON -- SB Jason Tucker caught eight passes for 133 yards and a touchdown last week against the Stamps.

WHO'S NOT:

* CALGARY -- Returner Terrence Wilkins had only 10 yards on four punt returns last week.

* EDMONTON -- WR Ed Hervey caught only three passes for 28 yards last week and has no touchdowns in five games since returning from a knee injury.

* CALGARY -- K Sandro DeAngelis has hit on 40-of-52 field goals (76.9%, 1st in CFL), while P Burke Dales has booted for a 44.3-yard average (4th).

* EDMONTON -- K Sean Fleming has hit on 25-of-37 (67.6%, 7th) and punted for a 40.2-yard average (8th).

In four straight wins since returning from a thumb injury, Stamps QB Henry Burris has a passing efficiency rating of 134.7. The pivot has thrown nine TD passes in those games and ran for two others without throwing an interception.
