Jeanty blow

In a game where the Eskimos desperately want their best players on the field, they will likely have to play this weekend's West semi-final in Calgary without Rashad Jeanty.

Although nothing is set in stone, the stellar defensive end -- who is second on the team with eight sacks -- will probably miss his third consecutive game with a hamstring injury.

"I would say he is more doubtful than anything," said head coach Danny Maciocia.

"It is coming along slowly and that is what we have to contend with now. Unless he can feel good about pushing off and (doing the) things he is supposed to do, that is the way it is."

In his third season with the Esks, Jeanty has turned heads around the league.

"I think he's one in a million," said Hamilton head coach Greg Marshall earlier this fall.
