Let the debates begin.
To mark the province's 100th birthday, the Edmonton Eskimos have invited fans to name the organization's all-century team.
For the next month, fans can name their own all-century team by accessing the Eskimos' Website (www.esks.com).
The site offers a depth chart of past/present players at each position, from which fans are asked to choose.
For example, there are 10 choices for quarterback: Warren Moon, Tom Wilkinson, Jackie Parker, Ricky Ray, Don Getty, Matt Dunigan, Damon Allen, Tracy Ham, Jason Maas and Bruce Lemmerman.
Of note, Sean Fleming - who was deleted from the roster for the Labour Day game in Calgary - is one of five choices in the kicker/punter category.
Voting ends Oct. 9, with the results tabulated and the team announced before the Oct.15 game against Saskatchewan.
The all-century team is tied to the Centennial Gridiron Challenge announced yesterday in Regina.
The CGC is a two-game (Sept. 18 & Oct. 15) total point contest between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Eskimos.
"Someone can keep the (Centennial) Cup for 100 years," quipped Esks COO Rick LeLacheur.
