TOMORROW'S SCHEDULE

Edmonton at Winnipeg (pre-season) 6:30 p.m. (630 CHED).

FIRST DOWN

It has yet to be determined whether wide receiver Ed Hervey will be able to play in the Eskimos' final exhibition game tomorrow in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers.

Hervey strained the ACL in his left knee just over a week ago in training camp, but was back running routes yesterday in practice.

"Today was an evaluation," said Hervey. "I'm just happy that I was able to run and cut on it and show the coaching staff that I have strength in it and I'm comfortable with it."

SECOND DOWN

One of the most competitive battles at training camp is at fullback with non-imports Mathieu Bertrand and Deitan Dubuc battling for the starting spot. Both are from Quebec and good friends.

"There is a strong possibility they'll both be on the opening-day roster," said Eskimos head coach Danny Maciocia. "You have two quality guys that are playing the fullback position and we've upgraded our special teams with people like Deitan Dubuc."

PARING DOWN

No roster moves.
