TODAY'S SCHEDULE

9 to 11 a.m. at Concordia University College.

TOMORROW

9 to 11 a.m. at Concordia University College.

FIRST DOWN: After being relegated to holding for kicker Sean Fleming in last Friday's pre-season game versus the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Jason Maas will be behind centre at some point during Thursday's rematch. Khari Jones and Jason Johnson are tabbed to share the QB duties in the final pre-season test. "Health-wise, he's ready to go," said head coach Danny Maciocia of Maas, who underwent off-season surgery to repair a torn labrum. "He needs to get some game action under his belt so he's got a good feel for what to expect when he dresses on June 24."

SECOND DOWN: Wet weather forced the Esks indoors yesterday. The defence took the hardwood at the Concordia University College high school gym and were followed by the offence and special teams ... After spending the winter indoors with the Arena Football League Dallas Desperados, DL Albert Reese is looking for work in the CFL. Reese spent five seasons with the Esks ... Rookie DB J.R. Larose traded his No. 17 jersey for the departed Maha Atogwe's No. 5 ... Look for veteran LB/long snapper Roger Reinson and LB Robert Grant to resurface. Grant could wind up in either Calgary or Ottawa, while Reinson's phone is guaranteed to ring should a long snapper go down, if not sooner.

PARING DOWN: RB Reggie White, DE DeMoine Adams, DE Antico Dalton, LB Martin Gagnon, WR Scott Cloman, WR Devin Lewis, DB Chris Kelly, DB Brad Franklin and OL Mark Shantz were released yesterday. With those cuts the Eskimos reduced their roster to the league-mandated 50 men. That excludes 2005 draft picks, players with college eligibility and the club's territorial protections.
