TODAY'S SCHEDULE

7 p.m. versus Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Commonwealth Stadium

TOMORROW

4:15 p.m. at Concordia University College

FIRST DOWN: The game plan calls for veteran Sean Fleming and rookie Chris Brewer to split the kicking and punting duties in tonight's pre-season tilt versus Winnipeg. In the opening half, Fleming is slated to handle the punting duties while Brewer inherits the kicking chores. The shoe will be on the other foot for the final 30 minutes with Fleming doing the kicking and Brewer in charge of punting. Although the rotation dictates the rookie Brewer handle the opening kickoff, he will defer to Fleming on that score. "He's been the man here and that's kind of the way it's supposed to be," said Brewer.

SECOND DOWN: FB Mike Maurer, WR Ed Hervey, SB Derrell Mitchell, DT Steve Charbonneau, DT Randy Spencer and CB Davis Sanchez are scratches for tonight's pre-season tussle at Commonwealth Stadium. DB Maha Atowe pulled a groin and is a possible scratch for the Esks. QB Jason Maas will dress but not see any time behind centre according to head coach Danny Maciocia ... RB Charles Roberts, SB Milt Stegall, DT Joe Fleming, DT Doug Brown, OL J.F. Ostiguy and QB Jon Hooton didn't make the trip and are listed as healthy scratched by the Blue Bombers. LB Tony Ortiz, SB Vinny Sutherland, DT Doug Goodwin, RB Marvin Townes, QB Tee Martin, FB Cory Olynick and LB Ron Ockimey are scratched due to injury ... Green Bay Packers scout and one-time Hamilton Tiger-Cat Tim Terry along with former CFL pivot and Saskatchewan Roughriders assistant coach-turned Dallas Cowboys scout Sammy Garza were at yesterday's workout. Both are scheduled to take in tonight's pre-season game.

PARING DOWN: Import LB Jacoby Shepherd was released leaving 66 players, including draft picks, in camp.
