Talks between the Esks and free agent quarterback Khari Jones continue.

Jones, 33, is also entertaining offers from Hamilton and Toronto but would favour signing with the Esks.

"We are talking and nothing is set but it's going positively," said Jones of talks with the Esks. "Hopefully, we have something in the next couple of days if we are doing it with them."

Jones earned $375,000 in Calgary last season and was cut loose after the Stampeders signed Henry Burris. Jones has no qualms about coming in as the Esks back-up.

"Everybody has their guys already there and people established," conceded Jones.

"My biggest goal is worrying about me and taking care of myself. I've already been through that No. 1-No. 2 stuff."
