CALGARY - Last year, the media's attention focused on the quarterback position for much of the summer.

This year, it's the guys they're handing the ball to that draws eyes at each and every Calgary Stampeders practice.

On the first day of the work week Tuesday at McMahon Stadium, each and every banged-up tailback was doing something different.

Jon Cornish, out since June 28 with a concussion, did agility drills in the endzone with strength and conditioning assistant Dimitri Tsoumpas.

Matt Walter, who joined the CFL's reigning MOP in concussion protocol July 24, was alongside him, after taking part in the individual portion of practice.

Martell Mallett and the groin he injured over the weekend in the first half against the Ottawa RedBlacks were nowhere to be found, while Jock Sanders was a sideline spectator.

Four running backs, not one practice rep.
