The Calgary Stampeders picked up win No. 5 this past Saturday.

They're about to roll out tailback No. 5 next Saturday.

Stamps GM/head coach John Hufnagel had to be cringing when Martell Mallett took a slow stroll to the locker-room during the first half of Saturday's 38-17 win over the Ottawa RedBlacks and did not return.

And he won't for likely at least a week due to a groin injury, joining concussed Canadians Jon Cornish and Matt Walter in the infirmary.

It leaves a less-than-100% Jock Sanders and recently-signed Hugh Charles to carry the load in the backfield next weekend against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1 p.m., TSN, News Talk 770).
