The NFL skill-set is there.
But it’s all about opportunity.
After tutoring Calgary Stampeders 24-year-old starting quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell over the off-season, former Stamps great turned NFL star Jeff Garcia believes the young Texan has all the ingredients to take a similar path.
“It’s very possible,” Garcia said. “Again, to predict that or to say that ... who’s to say? All it takes is one person to fall in love with you — one GM, one scout, one head coach — somebody who can be a difference-maker at that level. If there’s somebody that watches Bo and just really gravitates to his style of play and what he’s able to do on the field, the fact that he’s successful, he’s productive, he’s a great decision-maker, he’s accurate, he does the right things, he’s a great leader in the locker-room and in the community, as well as a field leader, all of those things wrapped into one person, it wouldn’t surprise me, at some point, if somebody gave him a call."
