For the second straight week, the Calgary Stampeders will try to replace the MOP.

After failing to make it onto the practice field for any team work this week, running back Jon Cornish (concussion) has been ruled out of Friday’s Week 4 clash with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium (8 p.m., TSN, News Talk 770), forcing the Stamps to devise yet another gameplan without their focal point.

The first-down productivity. The big-play potential. The consistency.

How do you go about replacing all of that?

The answer is simple — you don’t.

“Listen, we’re not replacing Jon — he’s the best athlete in Canada,” Stamps offensive co-ordinator/assistant head coach Dave Dickenson said of the CFL’s reigning Most Outstanding Player.
