CALGARY - Deep in the heart of Texas, Nik Lewis continues his arduous rehab process.

The Calgary Stampeders star slotback also continues to tweet.

One message in particular caught the attention of Stamps Nation.

“I must be in the dog house because they told me they wasn’t interested in signing me. Looks like I’ll be on recruiting visits this yr.,” Lewis tweeted.

No stranger to the odd off-the-cuff remark or slippery-fingered social-media session, Lewis isn’t afraid to speak his mind, which is exactly what he was doing on the same day sackmaster Charleston Hughes re-upped with the Stamps.

Keon Raymond, Joe West, Drew Tate, Bo Levi Mitchell, Jeff Fuller, and Deron Mayo have all done the same this off-season, signing contract extensions long before they were scheduled to hit free agency.

Heading into his own option year, you can see where he’s coming from.
