CALGARY - No matter where he lines up on the football field, it’s fair to label Keon Raymond as a difference-maker.

Away from the field, there’s no question the 31-year-old will be calling this city home for the foreseeable future, after the Calgary Stampeders signed the versatile cover-man to a contract extension Monday.

As usual, though, Raymond doesn’t quite know which position he’ll be calling home between the white lines.

“I’ve been trying to make the CFL all-star (team), and they never know what position to put me down as, so we’ve gotta come up with some type of hybrid (position),” Raymond said with a grin Monday at McMahon Stadium, after officially inking his new one-year-plus-an-option extension.

“Wherever I’m needed — that’s always been my thing. I’ve been an all-star at many different positions. If coach needs me at (strong-side linebacker), halfback, corner ... whatever. I’m the ultimate team guy.”
