Rob Maver is one of the player who's persistently had his name linked with a move in the CFL expansion draft.

The speculation started in late May when players arrived for training camp.

 

It continued to ramp up in July when quarterbacks around the CFL started dropping like flies and Calgary wasn’t immune as Bo Levi Mitchell’s dazzling debut as a starter had more people talking about the expansion draft, at the time, than what was happening on the football field.

On Monday morning, the speculation will finally turn into tangible assets in Ottawa and the first semblance of a RedBlacks roster.

Those twisting in the wind will be glad it’s over.

“We all feel that we just want it to come and go,” said Stampeders all-star punter Rob Maver, who is one of the names being floated as a potential RedBlacks target. “We want it to be done and over with so we can be done talking about it and we know how we’re going to proceed.”

The nuances of the draft, which will be streaming at CFL.ca starting at 9 a.m. MT, have left a number of players wondering where their fut
