CALGARY - Being a sore loser is one thing.
Being a sore winner might be even worse.
A number of Calgary Stampeders were upset by how Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant handled Sunday’s West final victory.
Durant was clearly agitated by a tweet sent out earlier in the week by Stamps wideout Maurice Price saying it would be “nice to be in their locker-room on Grey Cup Sunday and rubbing it in their faces a little bit.”
Minutes after the Riders’ 35-13 victory at McMahon Stadium, Durant returned fire.
“We knew we were the better team,” Durant said. “Don’t come talking trash about sitting in our locker-room.
“We’re going to come to you all’s house and we’re going to defend our locker-room.
“And we’re going to send you all home like we did.”
That, as you can imagine, went over like a lead balloon with Price, who was watching TV with offensive lineman Stanley Bryant.
