In the first two months of the season, Kevin Glenn looked Nik Lewis’ way when the Calgary Stampeders needed a key first down.

When Lewis went down in mid-August, Glenn turned to Marquay McDaniel to move the chains, and the fifth-year slotback responded with a career year.

Now, after McDaniel was carried off the BC Place turf in the regular-season finale with a severely sprained ankle, both chain-movers are sidelined.

Time to move on to Plan C.

“You’re upset at the fact the guy got hurt and he won’t be able to play and he’s put forth such an effort to get us to this point — you feel for that part about it,” Glenn said after Friday’s practice session at McMahon Stadium. “But the way that our season’s been going where we’ve had guys step up, it’s just one of those things where like it’s bound to happen. The next guy’s gotta do it.”
