CALGARY - Nik Lewis is making noise about a possible West final comeback.

But to Calgary Stampeders GM/head coach John Hufnagel, who will have the final say as to whether the veteran slotback can complete his miracle comeback from a broken bone and torn ligaments in his left ankle that was supposed to end his season back in August, it’s just Nik being Nik.

“My last report is that the doctor said it’s not possible,” Hufnagel said simply on Wednesday, after the Stamps took to the practice field for the first time since last Friday’s regular-season finale loss to the B.C. Lions.

Lewis, however, is adamant he’ll be an option when the Stamps start installing the gameplan next week for the West final (Sunday, Nov. 17, 2:30 p.m., McMahon Stadium).
