Barring injury, Jon Cornish will set a CFL record.

It’ll likely happen this Friday when the Calgary Stampeders running back lines up against the B.C. Lions at McMahon Stadium (7 p.m., TSN/News Talk 770).

But there’s something missing.

Which, Cornish said, takes some of the fun out of it.

“It’s my own record,” said Cornish, who needs 43 yards to move his own name down to No. 2 on the charts. “It’s a lot different when it’s somebody else’s record.

“It’s not something that’s on my mind at all.”

The Stamps still have four games remaining on the regular-season s
