CALGARY - For Jon Cornish, finding motivation is as easy as finding a crease in a defence.

And when the outspoken Calgary Stampeders tailback finds it, he usually exploits it.

It’s safe to say Chris Jones and Cornish know a thing or two about each other, as the former Stamps defensive co-ordinator — who bolted in controversial fashion for the Toronto Argonauts following the 2011 season — once watched the tailback slice and dice his defence from the scout team during practice.

Cornish thinks Jones’ opinion of him isn’t exactly glowing.

“The reality of it is that he thinks I’m mentally weak, and he gets his players to sort of try to get into my mind,” Cornish said, following the Stamps’ final practice session of the week, all of which were closed to the public with the arrival of the former co-ordinator looming. “We’ll see how well that works for them.
