CALGARY - No one on the football field had a problem with the hit that sidelined Ricky Ray.

But off the field, apparently, some did.

Calgary Stampeders defensive end Charleston Hughes took to Twitter on Sunday to voice his displeasure with threatening e-mails he received through his website in regards to the hit Hughes delivered at 8:51 of the first quarter Friday night in The Big Smoke that sent the Toronto Argonauts quarterback to the locker-room with a shoulder injury.

“To the clown who thought it would be cool to send me threaten emails bout ricky ray being hurt I have a tracker on my email n I hav yo IP,” Hughes tweeted around noon, after the Stamps’ short on-field session at McMahon Stadium had ended.

A couple hours later, Hughes sent out another message.

“So I recieved 2 more threaten emails.... It’s gettin outta hand now....,” Hughes tweeted from his account @StampMachine.

Hughes couldn’t be reached for comment, but Stampeders officials
