WINNIPEG - Nik Lewis has never been one to shy away from a little trash-talk.

But if you thought he’d be angry by someone calling him ‘just another guy,’ think again.

In a story that ran in the Calgary Sun earlier this week a ‘CFL Insider’ suggested Lewis was nothing special.

“Nik Lewis is better without the ball,” the insider said. “His blocking is good, but as a receiver, we don’t even worry about him.

“He’s a J.A.G. now: Just Another Guy.”

The Calgary Stampeders veteran slotback says he isn’t too concerned what an unnamed CFL insider thought of him.

“I am just another guy,” Lewis said. “I’m the same as anyone else on the team.

“That’s my only response. I’m just another guy. I’m not superhuman — I don’t have superhuman powers.

“So whoever said it was right. I’m just another guy.”

While most people assume the insider is saying Lewis has become an average receiver, the 31-year-old says he isn’t so sure.
