CALGARY - There's nothing funny about an elbow injury.

With Calgary Stampeders backup-turned-starter Kevin Glenn's throwing elbow still giving him trouble, the veteran quarterback will be relegated to third-string status Friday in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers (6 p.m., TSN, News Talk 770).

“We're still going to see what it feels like (Thursday), but it's a little disappointing right now,” Glenn said after sitting out his third straight practice session Wednesday. “It's kinda tough when you don't get the reps in practice, throwing the ball, to be comfortable going out there and putting your team in the best position to win, as a quarterback.

“It's gotten better every day, so it is coming around. It's just one of those things, as a quarterback, you need your elbow joint.”

Stamps GM/head coach John Hufnagel thought Glenn would be ready.
