CALGARY - During Tuesday’s sunny session at McMahon Stadium, he was moonlighting as a linebacker for the scout defence.

Never a good sign.

After practice, he was only going to speak with reporters if there was an update or change to his status.

Silence.

The Calgary Stampeders won’t make anything official until later in the week, but all indications are quarterback Drew Tate will miss a second consecutive start due to a strained muscle in his right forearm.

“Drew is feeling better,” reported Stampeders GM/head coach John Hufnagel. “He’s just not ready to throw yet. Maybe towards the end of the week.”

Towards the end of the week, of course, is when the Montreal Alouettes will arrive at McMahon Stadium for Saturday’s date with the Red & White, a rematch of Calgary’s 22-14 victory last Friday in La Belle Province.
