Kevin Huntley feels like it’s a perfect time to start talking the talk and walking the walk in Calgary Stampeders red and black.

With Corey Mace going down with a shoulder injury that could keep the Canadian defensive tackle out of the lineup for an extended period, the big 6-foot-8, 305-lb. tackle, who was released last week by the Toronto Argonauts and promptly shovelled onto the Stamps practice roster, may get that chance.

The 31-year-old Kansas State product feels he brings an element that could be useful, especially heading into Regina for Friday’s tilt with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (Mosaic Stadium, 7 p.m., TSN, News Talk 770).
