CALGARY - Raymond Webber might not be the fleetest of foot.
But he’s no fun to bring down.
“If anybody ever asks me, I’m a big, physical receiver,” Webber said after Friday’s rookie camp workout.
“I call myself a bully, with and without the ball.”
He might fit in well with Stamps veteran slotback Nik Lewis, who has laid out a few defenders during his time with the Red & White.
“I’ve watched Nik Lewis on tape,” Webber said. “Nik is very physical.
“I’m trying to be 75% of Nik. He’s a bully out there for real.”
The 6-foot-3, 220-lb. Webber is still getting used to the Canadian game.
He’s a big fan of receivers being able to get a running start at the line of scrimmage.
“For a guy like myself who’s not the fastest guy, it helps,” he said.
Webber, who celebrates his 24th birthday Saturday, attended a Stamps camp in Florida before getting the invite to come north.
“It’s another opportunity,” he said. “I love the game.
