CALGARY - With the start of training camp right around the corner, the Calgary Stampeders added five players to their camp roster Monday.

Four of the five players — QB Ryan Perilloux, RB Jonathan Williams, receiver Josue Paul, defensive lineman Micah Johnson — are imports who bring experience from NFL camps, while the fifth, offensive lineman Stu Van Dusen, hails from Whitby, Ont., and has been playing semi-pro ball with the Austin Vipers since graduating from Div. III Trinity University in 2010.

In Perilloux, the Stamps are getting a QB who starred at Jacksonville State, where he was named the Ohio Valley Conference offensive player of the year in 2009, and spent most of 2011 on the New York Giants' practice roster. The big-armed QB spent two years at Louisiana State University before transferring to Jacksonville State, and was the MVP of the 2007 Southeast Conference title game.
