Gaydosh

Linden Gaydosh will be popping the top off another beer in the next few weeks.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats No. 1 pick, who famously celebrated his first-overall selection in last week’s CFL Draft with a 10 a.m. cheers session in Peace River, Alta., will likely be just fine with that.

“I heard he had a beer after he was drafted,” said new Ticats teammate Henry Burris. “I’m looking forward to having one with him and welcoming him to the team.”

Burris, who spent his Saturday morning at McMahon Stadium tutoring future draft picks at the 8th Annual Henry Burris Football Camp for Kids, knows all about Gaydosh, the hulking 6-foot-3, 314-lb. defensive tackle, who started a run that saw three Calgary Dinos — the Montreal Alouettes pounced on linebacker Mike Edem went at No. 3 and running back Steven Lumbala at No. 5 — drafted in the top five of the draft.

Ryan Thelwell, a veteran of 10 CFL seasons, who was drafted twice in 1998 — once by the B.C. Lions in the second round
