Former Stampeders RB Joffrey Reynolds awaits verdict
By NADIA MOHARIB, QMI Agency
CALGARY - With final arguments from both sides in, former football star Joffrey Reynolds now awaits a judge’s verdict. Accused of breaking into a former girlfriend’s swanky Eau Claire condominium last July, Reynolds was charged with break-and-enter, assault causing bodily harm and assault. The latter charge stems from an incident a short time earlier at a bar. In final arguments Wednesday, defence lawyer Randi Collins said the assault charges had not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt and that there was an explanation for the alleged break-in — that Reynolds “mistakingly and honestly believed” he was welcome at the home where he had been invited to spend the previous two nights. |
