CALGARY - Just as he’s done in two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, Larry Taylor feels he’s made the right moves in returning.

This time, instead of juking out opposition defenders on the football field, his return is of the business variety.

A little more than two weeks before he could have become a free agent and gone anywhere he wanted, Taylor signed a contract extension with the Stampeders.

Turns out, the Stamps were his first choice, and he’s thrilled to be staying.

“They’ve really taken care of me over two years,” Taylor said. “That played a role in me not even thinking about free-agency. Why go somewhere else when you know this team is set up for success. We have good players across the board.”

With this signing, the number of pending Stampeders free-agents now dwindles to five.

Taylor was the biggest name among those, as he’s about to move into the CFL’s all-time top-10 in return yardage with just a few hundred more yards.

What do you think of the name 'RedBlacks' for the new Ottawa CFL franchise?
  It's awful
  Guess it works
Meh, I don't follow the CFL
  Best name yet
