Stamps receiver waiting word on getting into lineup

CALGARY - Arjei Franklin capped Wednesday’s practice with a pair of great grabs, leaving little doubt he’s ready to return to the Calgary Stampeders’ lineup.
He’s awaiting final word from the coaches and medical staff, but all indications — including post-practice remarks from head coach John Hufnagel — are that Franklin will suit up for Saturday’s home date with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The 29-year-old receiver has been stashed on the nine-game injured list with broken ribs.
“It’s been a long wait,” Franklin said. “When you’re out for that long, you realize how much you love the game and how much you miss it, so you definitely don’t take it for granted.”
Franklin could replace Anthony Parker.
FANS TO GET FOOTBALL FILL
Stamps’ season-ticket holders will get their fill of football next season.
The team announced Wednesday that the McMahon Stadium faithful for 2012 will receive a full slate of ducats to root for the University of Calgary Dinos and junior-level Calgary Colts.
The teams will get financial backing, as well.
