Ronnie Amadi is getting a second chance to impress the Calgary Stampeders.
The club announced Friday morning they've re-signed the speedy defensive halfback, who appeared in 11 games last summer before getting injured and losing his starting job.
Amadi, 28, racked up 27 tackles, three knockdowns and one sack in his first CFL campaign.
The Stamps also announced the signing of defensive back Mike Mickens and linebacker Eryk Anders.
Mickens was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2009 NFL Draft and split last season between the Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, spending the bulk of his first professional campaign on the practice roster.
Anders helped the Alabama Crimson Tide win a national college championship last season. He was tops on the team with 17 quarterback hurries and also ranked among the leaders with 66 tackles, including 14.5 tackles for a loss and six sacks. He had a sack and a forced fumble in the national championship game.
