VANCOUVER -- Joffrey Reynolds isn't one for making guarantees, especially when it comes to personal accolades.

So when told Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Fred Reid promised he would take the CFL rushing title from him, the Calgary Stampeders veteran just laughed.

Reynolds is more focused on beating the B.C. Lions tonight (8 p.m., TSN) and the Saskatchewan Roughriders next Saturday in Regina.

"It's no personal contest with anybody," Reynolds said. "It's just Joffrey Reynolds being the best player he can be for Calgary.

"From the beginning of the year until now, I'm just trying to run my race. The race has led me to trying to help Calgary win these last two games. If the rushing title comes along with that, I will be happy about it. It's something I always want to achieve, but all the running backs in the league want it."

Reynolds has 1,295 yards this season for a 38-yard lead on Reid. When it comes to a more important stat category, Reynolds leads as well with 1,691 yards from scrimmage (including receiving), while Reid only has 1,411.

If there is a team to help Reynolds widen his lead, it is the Lions. In two starts against them, Reynolds has 131 and 151 rushing yards in consecutive wins.
